Burger Experience Bratislava

Hey everyone,

My name is Jana and I come from Bratislava, the capital city of Slovakia, located in Central Europe. Although Bratislava is not a very famous place to visit, it has some beautiful places worth visiting. But apart from some historical sites, like Bratislava Castle or St. Martin's Dome, or cultural sites, like the Slovak National Theatre, it also provides a variety of delicious culinary places, offering everything from simple meals like kebab to vegan specialties.

However, as we live in the 21st century, the pressure from the West (the USA, more precisely) is extremely powerful and Bratislava is not an exception from places affected by the US. To be more specific, I am talking about hamburgers. But of course, not just processed, frozen, fast-food burgers with no significant taste or serving, buyable for 1€. Bratislava, in fact, provides a wide variety of places where delicious burgers can be found. Naturally they cost slightly more than 1€, but the difference between the fast-food burgers and the real burgers and quality of the real burgers are definitely worth the price.

Therefore, I would like to introduce you the top 5 burger places in Bratislava (according to my personal observations and experience, I love burgers).

Regal Burger

Review:

It is more of a fast food restaurant and that reflects on the burgers. They taste good but you can find better ones in Bratislava. Also a disadvantage is that French fries are not included in the price. Moreover the French fries taste very fast food like and do not seem very genuine. An advantage is that they have already opened two restaurants in Bratislava, so it is more accessible. They provide a few varieties of burgers including a vegetarian burger. All in all, the quality is not really worth the price.

Review:

It is a normal restaurant with a possibility of a quicker take-away. Although the interior is not very great, which is an disadvantage. The French fries are not very delicious either but the coleslaw is definitely one of the best. Also it is unbelievable how much you get for such a price (compared to other offers), even though it is located in the city centre. They offer a huge variety of burgers including a veggie burger. All in all, the burger taste is average, the setting is not the best, but the price is very good.

Review:

An American style restaurant, one of very few of its kind in Bratislava. It is a great opportunity for others to get an insight on American style. A disadvantage is that it still kind of looks like a fast food restaurant rather than a normal restaurant. An advantage and disadvantage at the same time is the location on the outskirts of Bratislava, therefore it is less accessible for tourists. Again, there are more than 10 different burger options to choose from, including a burger for children or a veggie burger. A rather pleasant possibility is that you can either choose French fries, which are tasty and crunchy, or a portion of salad. All in all, a nice setting and good-tasting food compensate for the location.

Review:

This has definitely the most beautiful setting among these, as it is a normal fancy restaurant not focussed on burgers. Therefore, they only offer one type of a burger. Also as a result, the price is very high, in comparison with others. However, the meat is definitely the most delicious and real home-made French fries are very good. Although their coleslaw salad could certainly be improved. The location is very convenient. All in all, it is absolutely worth the money to try it once, however having it as your favourite and frequent burger place is not very favourable.

This is a regular burger place with pleasant interior and very good location. Everything is absolutely delicious - the burger as a whole, the meat, the bun, the French fries, the coleslaw salad as well as the onion rings. They provide more than 10 alternatives of burgers, including a smaller burger for the little ones. Unfortunately, they do not offer a veggie burger, which may be deemed as a disadvantage by many, but after all, a burger should definitely contain meat. All in all, this is the best burger Bratislava can offer, based on my personal observations and tastes. The price perfectly reflects the quality, amount and nice atmosphere this burger place has to offer.
